NOMINATIONS & SELECTION

Everyone in the aggregate industry is encouraged to submit Hall of Fame nominations. Aggregate producers, equipment manufacturers, dealers, association representatives—all of those ever involved in the industry—are eligible for induction to the Hall of Fame. Posthumous nominations are accepted.

All Hall of Fame nominations are submitted to a third-party selection committee that is comprised of representatives from various aggregate industry segments, as well as Hall of Fame inductees from the past class. The committee reviews all nominations and supporting biographical materials. The committee then votes, and the top vote-getters each cycle are grouped as a Hall of Fame class.

Inductions & Preservation

The Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame celebrates its inductees with a dinner and induction ceremony, historically hosted just ahead of the aggregate industry’s national trade show. The ticketed event is a black-tie affair. Those in the aggregate industry are welcome to attend the celebration along with family and friends.

Complete P&Q Hall of Fame coverage is available on Pit & Quarry’s website.

In addition, the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame is displayed at the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum in Leadville, Colorado, where inductee plaques are featured for the public to enjoy.
